• Dive into the world of specialty coffee in our immersive latte art and espresso workshop. In this class, you’ll leave with the tools and techniques to make killer espresso and beautiful latte art. Whether you make coffee at home, or want to further your coffee knowledge and expertise, this is the place to be!

Curriculum

• Deep Dive Into Coffee: Hear all about the origins of coffees we use, how and where they are roasted, and what notes you taste in our coffee.

• Hands On Instruction: From our seasoned baristas that make your favorite drinks at The Press everyday.

• Milk Science: Learn about the composition of milk, and the techniques used to steam up perfect microfoam. 

• Pouring Techniques: Learn the techniques on pouring latte art for designs like the tulip, rosetta, heart, or even a swan!

Instructor Qualifications

• Colby Miles, GM, The Perfect Press, 6 years of experience in specialty coffee shops in TX and FL.

• Juna Darrah, Lead Barista, The Perfect Press, 3 years experience in specialty coffee. 

• Larry Giglio, Owner of Ragged Coffee, roaster of all things coffee in The Perfect Press, and several other cafes in the Tampa area.

Materials Provided

• We’ll have everything you need for this workshop. From milk, pitchers, coffee (of course), and other tools needed to make some amazing coffee. Feel free to bring your own coffee tools if wanted! Each guest will also get the opportunity to pull espresso and steam milk on our beautiful Simonelli Aurelia Wave commercial espresso machine.
